Wrapped around Cristina Perez
This project was mostly just for fun all we had to do was tape our faces. First of all we one of my classmate taped my whole face trying to squeeze my cheeks and make my eyebrows look weird. Then I just edited the picture in Adobe Bridge to make it black and white. The purpose of this project was to make our selfs look funny. What I want people to notice in this picture is to think about how not all pictures have to be always serious or cute they could be funny and weird, just be outgoing.
Jackson portrait Cristina Perez
Art work or just regular work has many steps to it to get where you want it to be. This project took me a long time to finish but the purpose of this project was to learn how to use the pen tool. All I did was just traced the whole thing in Adobe illustrator using the pen tool. The pen tool was the most important tool for this project. This project was an easy project, but at the beginning when I first started it was hard for me because I didn't know what to start with but ended up starting with the eyes because the eyes are mostly what attracts the peoples attention and are the most that take more detail and time. The shading that I made on the face were made by using the feather tool, it was easy t make those shadings because all I did was select the piece I wanted to burn and then it was done. Another hard thing I had trouble with was the hair, at first it was just so difficult for me to make but then I just made some strips of hair and used the sprayer tool and made a lot of them and then I just adjusted them. An easy thing that came out was the suit. The person that I drew was Jackson Rathbone. I chose him because he come out in a movie called “Twilight” and thats one of my favorite movie. He comes out in many other movies but thats the main movie he came out more. Also because his face is clear and pale and easy to just trace fast. What I want people to notice is on the shadows of his face how they look really good for example the cheekbones. Also I want them to notice is the hair how it turn out to come, it was a success. This project ended up being a success overall.
Hands on face Cristina Perez
This project was asked to put your hands on your face but make your face come infant of your face. First I took two pictures on with my hands on my face and the other one just of my face. Then I edited both pictures in Adobe Illustrator by making a clipping mask and erasing some parts I didn't need. The tools that I used were the clipping mask and the blending tool. What I want people to notice is how you could do anything by using for example Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Bridge.
4 Face Cristina Perez
The requirements for this assignment was to use Photoshop using multiple photos of you or any of your classmates. What I decided to do with this is take a picture of three other people and me and use the rectangle marquee tool and duplicate the part I selected and just put them all in one piece. The purpose of this project was to learn how to use different tools and to have fun. What I want people to notice is how theres 4 different people in the image and how they somewhat alined to each other.
Criana Cristina Perez
This picture was taken randomly and I actually liked it and so I decided to make another version of the Abstract cut up and used the same tool that was the rectangle marquee tool. This was easy because I only had to select a pice and then duplicated it by using command-J. What I want people to notice in this assignment is how all of our body parts are there and you could actually see us but the thing is that there all over the places.
Floating up Cristina Perez
I choose to use this picture because I was planning to my my chest and up in little pieces and the chest to bottom just leaving it but making some little cuts as well. This assignment was the same concept as the Abstract cut up and the tools I used was the rectangle marquee tool. It ended up looking pretty good. What I want people to notice is if you get close up you wont see all the pieces but far away it looks like you could see everything.
Silhouette and halloween picture Cristina Perez
The one in the left was the silhouette I made and the right one was a picture I took with one of my friends on hollowed and we both were dressed up as something. The silhouette was easy to make because all I did was get a picture of my choice and make a clipping mask on the original picture.
Abstract cut up
The requirements for this assignment was to use Photoshop using multiple photos of you or any of your classmates. What I decided to do with this is take a picture of three other people and me and make it like this because it's 4 different types of color skin and I thought it was cool because for me it looks like it looks like color doesn't matter. The tool I used was the rectangle marquee tool. I used the rectangle marquee in each picture so I could select the part I wanted from the face and then combined all those pieces in one single page. The purpose of this project was to learn how to use different tools and to have fun. What I want people to notice is how theres 4 different people in the image and how they somewhat alined to each other.

These are my portrait
Abstract cut up
This picture was taken randomly and I actually liked it and so I decided to make another version of the Abstract cut up and used the same tool that was the rectangle marquee tool. This was easy because I only had to select a piece and then duplicated it by using command-J. What I want people to notice in this assignment is how all of our body parts are there and you could actually see us but the thing is that there all side to side.
Surreal Profile Silhouette
The imagery that I used to make this silhouette was a image I got in the internet it's just fire. This fire picture I liked it because I thought it was going to be cool and creative. What I want people to notice in my work is my hair like you could actually see it, it wasn't just one plain color. My work shows creativity by showing what Mr. Means told me to improve upon, and that's the hair. It also shows skill and agency because when I took the picture I just look up but I tried making my expression explosive but it didn't work so i just gave the image a little bit of fire coming out of the back.

tape on face
I edited this picture in adobe bridge I just started playing with the adjustments but they were all just plain and I wasn't feeling it so I just redid the adjustments. Then I just tried some different ones, but the only adjusting I ended up using are the ones below that are clarity, vibrance, and saturation. I mean this ain't the best but I like it. I see it cool and like just the clarity the vibrance and the saturation makes it just look pooping out liked so cool. I decided to make this picture black and white because the black and white makes me think of something professional. What I want people to notice is that if they see other black and white images most of them are like serious or look sad but not all images in black and white have to be like that you could do funny things using black and white as well.
hands on face
All I did was put my hands on my face and then when that picture was taken I just moved my hand down and took a second picture. I was trying not to move when I was taking both because I wanted my both pictures to be in the same position. First I opened it on photoshop and then color the whole thing grey and then add a layer making, dodge and burn mostly just my skin, then add the layer mask so it would be all connected and finally I just add both images , but first I lowered the opacity to 50%. The camera settings are above, the f-stop was 6.3, the ISO was 100 and the shutter was 1/125. For the second version I insert a texture but it was white and it ended like if I were just to add clarity to the picture. What I want people to notice is that it looks nice and that I made two different versions one black and white and the other one normal with a texture.
forced perspective photography
The concept here was making something look bigger than the other thing or just making something creative. The F-stop for this picture was 16.0, the shutter was 1/25, and the ISO was 100. What I tried to do here was making me look like if I threw the kid in the background up in the sky. To make that I just moved. close to the camera and posed my self looking up and with my hand up. What I want people to notice is how "creative" this was.

Tiny Pants
The F-stop for this picture was 10.0, the shutter was 1/2500, and the ISO was 3200. The assignment was to create (draw) some pants you liked and then stick them in a stick and taking the picture of them, using your partner and making it seem that they were their pants/ jeans. What I want people to notice is that the tiny jeans fit him good, and also that I edited the picture in Adobe Bridge so it would look clear because the original picture looked dark.

Our concept here was to make a new tech news that informs students and staff about the soccer game. Also have everyone in our group in the screen, not just some. making me be the reporter, Riley be the reporter but inside the studio, and Daniel be the soccer player. The contribution I did in the group was mostly just talk in front the camera as a reporter because I didn't know how to edit the video in Adobe Premiere. What Riley did to contribute in the group was edit the whole video in Adobe Premiere, and also took the footage as in when Daniel and me were in front of the camera and when Daniel was doing all of the tricks and passes, also in combine lunch when the soccer players were practicing. What Daniel did was be in front of the camera acting like the soccer player and also he did the title. Our project shows quality because as you could see in the green screen it's well edited thanks to Riley. It didn't have no green spots even when Riley and Trevor moved. Also all the footage I don't know if it was the camera or just the scenes. I think everything went successful in our project but something that I think was the most successful was the green screen. An improvement I could do better is learn the script good so I won't had to be getting stuck and also looking at the camera more, but other than that in the group I don't think we need to improve anything.

color bars
This assignment took some easy steps. We used the marquee tool and pressed command J, then command T. Finally I just stretch one end of the transform selection to the edge of the photo, and turned out like this. This technique might be creatively used in art or design by making an image look better/ make it focus in the main point.
Advisory Picture
This was my class advisory picture I took. It was hard making them pay attention to the camera because everyone was talking and looking away, even though I was telling them a lot of times. Other than that this one was the best one. I edited this picture in Adobe Bridge, I just made it look brighter and with more color.
DROSTE EFFECT V2
My concept here was just holding a white piece of paper looking down. I made it like that because it's different from the one before i'm duplicating myself and putting me in the white paper. How I crated this image/ the process I did was took the picture of me holding the white paper, then I edited in bridge I just made the image brighter because it was blue-ish. Then I opened it in photoshop and started duplicating the first layer. By pressing command t I could adjust the image how I wanted. I also used the eraser tool so i could erase the edges, at fist I couldn't see what I was erasing so I just lower the opacity. So then I repeated that process 3 to 4 times. What I want people to notice is how the editing I made was better than the first version I made, because here you can't see the white paper as the other one I just erased the parts I didn't need. What I improved here was the editing and the concept.
class edits
I edited this picture two different ways, one black and white and the other one normal color just with some adjustments. For both of these images I used bridge and played with the adjustments. For the white and black I decided to do it like that because the theme of the yearbook is social media so my idea was to make it with the instagram shades that it has also because it looks like a memorie somewhat/ somehow. For the right one I decided to just leave it like its normal color because its going to represent our class thats called visual communication and this is a photography class that way it could look professional.
Droste Effect v1
This image is 8 by 12. Droste effect is when you have a picture and then duplicate the layer many times and put it in deeper until it cant. In other words when the picture of the picture goes deeper into the picture and it never ends. I really didn't do much edits I just duplicate the layer 4 times because thats all it could fit, then placed them in front of each other in the white piece of cardboard. My image shows both creativity and skill because I took the picture showing the white cardboard and making her go inside many times. What I want people to notice/ know is that it looks hard to make but it's actually not it's very easy, you just duplicate the layers and place it were you want them to be at.
depth of field
selective desaturation
These are my two images that I used to make layer masking. To do that I had to use the quick selection tool and select the object that you wanted it to stay. For example I selected the flower in both images, in the first one I selected the flower with the green thing in the bottom of it. Then you suppose to go to select > inverse and it will select the background only so then you go to image > adjustments > black and white or you could just go in the bottom right corner it's the same as doing it the other way. What i want people to notice in my work is how I just choose the object that I wanted to let them see in color and that I took of the parts I didn't want to be selected.
layer masking to selectively edit, cutout and modify images
I made this image in/ as selective desaturation. The first step I did in this assignment was take a picture of me . Then I edit it in photoshop, what I did there was go to select > inverse and it selects the background only then go to image > adjustments > black and white, and thats how it made it black and white and I only stood in color. What I want people to notice is the texture of the image it's like one of my best selective desaturation.
Cropping for size and resolution
using photographic toning gradients and layer blending modes
What I did in this image was apply gradient, the name of the gradient was "sepia." Then I played with the blending modes, I tried all of them but the one I really liked was called "hard light." The color of the image was kind of bright so I had to drop the opacity to 58%. I like this image because its brighter than the original one.
|
The gradient I used in this image was called "sepia" the same as the first image. The blending mode I used was "linear light." The opacity I dropped for this one was 38%. What I liked about this effects is that is way better than the original picture for example the lightning on the top is just pretty because it seems like the sun is hitting me.
|
In this image I used the gradient called "selenium." Then the blending mode I choose was "screen." For this one I dropped the opacity also to 27%. This image didn't really changed the way I wanted to come out, Maybe because of the blurriness.
|
after editing
This is my after image I did in adobe bridge. I think this was my best edit because the before image was blue-ish and blurry, then in this one I fixed it by moving all the settings and made it look lighter like if the sun was hitting her somewhat. The blurriness somewhat took off, but looks better than the original. Also the background it made it look clear, like the real color of the stuff. The thing I could of done better was I think her eyes because they look so black, I could of done them lighter. What I want people to notice is that adobe bridge works editing and it helped me do my image the way I wanted it to be.
